Kennesaw State holds off Stetson 88-82

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) Damien Wilson scored 28 points and Kennesaw State clung to its lead in the final seconds to beat Stetson 88-82 on Thursday night.

Kennesaw State trailed by one point with 11:50 left in the second half, but a 12-3 run put the Owls up by eight with 7:21 remaining. Kentwan Smith made a 3, a three-point play and a dunk to rally Stetson back into the game, and Cameron Harvey hit a 3 to make it 84-82 with 19 seconds left to play.

Delbert Love and Nigel Pruitt were both sent to the line in the final seconds and converted all four, silencing Stetson's hope for a comeback.

Yonel Brown added 21 points and Pruitt finished with 17 for the Owls (6-14, 1-3 Atlantic Sun Conference).

Smith scored 27 points, tying his career high, and had four blocks to lead the Hatters (5-14, 0-4).
