Ohio State guard D'Angelo Russell threw a bounce pass with one hand to guard Sam Thompson for a dunk during Thursday's win at Northwestern.

As Northwestern guard Dave Sobolewski approached Russell beyond the three-point line, the freshman eyed Thompson running off a screen set by center Trey McDonald.

The screen created some space between Thompson and his defender, Northwestern guard Tre Demps, and Thompson darted into the lane to receive the pass.

Russell's delivery was accurate and timely, as Thompson was able to catch the ball near the basket, set his feet and explode for a two-handed jam.

This is not the first time Russell has drawn attention for a bounce pass. He delivered a similar pass in a recent loss to Iowa.

On Thursday, Russell finished with a season-high 33 points points on 12-of-17 shooting with seven rebounds and six assists.

The win improved Ohio State to 15-5 (4-3 Big Ten) and dropped Northwestern to 10-9 (1-5 Big Ten).

Russell, the No. 18-ranked player in the class of 2014, according to Rivals.com, is projected as a first-round pick in the 2015 draft.
