James Madison rallies to beat Hofstra 69-63

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) Ron Curry scored a career-best 25 points and grabbed six rebounds as James Madison rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to beat Hofstra 69-63 on Saturday.

The Dukes (12-9, 5-3 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 45-33 at the break but took advantage of cold shooting by Hofstra early in the second period to go 21-7 and take a 54-52 lead with 9:44 to play. They took the lead for good on a Yohanny Dalembert layup with 1:32 remaining as the Pride went 0-6 from distance to finish.

Jackson Kent added 13 points for the Dukes and Winston Grays had nine.

The Pride (14-7, 5-3) took a 42-29 lead with 3:07 left in the first period on a 16-3 run featuring three 3-pointers by Juan'ya Green and another by Jamall Robinson.

Green led Hofstra with 16 points and seven assists. Moussa Kone added 13 points and 11 rebounds.
