HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) Martin Hermannsson had 21 points, four assists and five steals to lead LIU-Brooklyn to an 80-76 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday.

Gerrell Martin hit 3 of 5 3-pointers and scored 17 for LIU-Brooklyn (7-12, 3-5 Northeast Conference), which made just 22 of 54 (40.7 percent) field goals, but converted 10 offensive rebounds into 15 points.

A layup by Fairleigh Dickinson's Mustafaa Jones tied it at 65 with 6:05 remaining, but the Knights missed their next six shots and Elvar Fridriksson's free throw five minutes later gave LIU-Brooklyn a 74-69 lead.

Darius Stokes was fouled as he made a layup on the other end, but couldn't complete the three-point play, and a dunk by Joel Fernandez pushed the Blackbirds' lead back to five with 24 seconds to go.

Martin and Hermannsson hit two free throws apiece from there to seal it.

Jones hit four 3-pointers and led Fairleigh Dickinson (7-12, 2-6) with 21 points.
