Morehead State pulls ahead late, beats Austin Peay 82-69

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Karam Mashour scored 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds as Morehead State beat Austin Peay 82-69 on Wednesday night.

Morehead State (10-13, 5-3 Ohio Valley) closed the game with a 9-0 run, starting with Miguel Dicent's 3-pointer to make it 76-69 with 1:42 left.

Kareem Storey's basket gave the Eagles the lead for good at 58-57. Dicent followed with a 3 and Brent Arrington a field goal on the following possessions to stretch the lead to six with 7:27 left. Austin Peay (7-14, 2-5) got no closer than four points from there.

The senior Storey had his first career double-double with 13 points and 12 assists. Arrington added 16 points and 10 boards, and Angelo Warner scored 10.

Chris Horton had 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Governors. Horton was 15 of 20 from the free-throw line and Josh Robinson added 14 points.
