Georgia State comes back to beat UT-Arlington 88-74

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) R.J. Hunter hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 32 points and Georgia State came back midway through the second half to beat Texas-Arlington 88-74 on Thursday night.

Georgia State (14-7, 7-3 Sun Belt) moved into second place in the conference with Louisiana-Monroe, a half game back of Georgia Southern.

The Panthers trailed 38-34 at the break, and by 11 points midway through the second half before using a 14-3 run, capped by Ryan Harrow's 3-pointer to tie it at 65 with 7:35 remaining. Hunter's trey broke a 69-all tie with 4:16 left, sparking an 11-0 surge to give the Panther's an 80-69 lead with 2:14 to play.

Hunter, who broke the Panther's career scoring mark on Saturday, shot 9 of 16 from the field and dished out five assists. Harrow scored 25 points on 9-of-19 shooting.

Kevin Hervey led Texas-Arlington (12-8, 6-4) with 21 points.
