BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) Tim Kempton finished with 25 points - one off his career best - and Kahron Ross added 18, including hitting 8-for-8 from the foul line in the final minute, as Lehigh survived a fiery comeback by Boston University 89-86 on Saturday.

Lehigh (11-10, 5-5 Patriot League) scored first on a Kempton jumper off the opening tip and led by 22 (45-23) when Jesse Chuku hit a 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer.

The second half belonged to the Terriers (8-13, 4-6), who opened with a quick 8-0 run on back-to-back 3-pointers from Cedric Hankerson and Cheddi Mosely and a Nathan Dieudonne layup. Boston University outscored Lehigh 63-44 after halftime.

Eric Fanning led Boston with 24 points, 18 after halftime, and Mosely scored 20. After Lehigh missed two at the line with eight seconds left, Fanning grabbed the board and fed John Papale, who missed a turnaround 3-pointer as time ran out.
