Cornell finishes with 10 straight points, beats Brown 57-49

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) Galal Cancer had 11 points, six rebounds and four assists on Friday night, and Cornell scored the last 10 points to beat Brown 57-49.

Devin Cherry added 11 points and David Onuorah had seven blocks, tying for third on the Big Red's single-game list.

Cancer had the only field goal by either team in the final three minutes and Cornell was 8 of 10 from the foul line during that span.

Cornell (10-9, 2-1 Ivy) held its fourth straight opponent under 50 points. Brown (9-11, 0-3) had 49 points and a two-point lead on Cedric Kuakumensah's free throw with 3:31 left. The Bears went scoreless with 0-of-6 shooting the rest of the way.

The Big Red trailed 39-34 with 12:53 left but scored eight straight to take a three-point lead. Brown kept it close until Cornell pulled away.

Tavon Blackmon had 14 points to lead Brown.
