Kennesaw State pulls out 51-50 win over Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Yonel Brown scored 15 points including two free throws with 36 seconds left to give Kennesaw State the margin it needed to hold off Jacksonville 51-50 on Saturday.

Delbert Love broke a tie with a 3-pointer for his only points, and Brown added his free throws for a 51-46 lead. Marcellous Bell's four-point play cut the deficit to one with 30 seconds left. Jacksonville's Antwon Clayton blocked a dunk attempt by Damien Wilson but the Dolphins missed three shots on their final possession and the Owls had their second road conference win in four years.

Bernard Morena had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Owls (7-16, 2-5 Atlantic Sun), his first double-double this season. Wilson added 12 points.

Clayton grabbed 16 rebounds, the most for a Dolphin since Jan. 4, 2007. Josh Adeyeye had 12 points and Bell and J.R. Holder 11 each for Jacksonville (7-17, 1-6).
