Manhattan cruises past Monmouth 87-76

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) Emmy Andujar scored 27 points, one shy of matching his career-high, as Manhattan beat Monmouth (N.J.) 87-76 on Sunday.

Andujar was 8 of 10 from the field and 11 of 15 from the free throw line before fouling out with 2:20 left.

Shane Richards made 6 of 9 shots, including 4 of 6 3-pointers, hit all four of his free throws and grabbed eight rebounds for Manhattan (11-10, 8-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Ashton Pankey connected on 7 of 10 free throws and finished with 11 points. RaShawn Stores scored nine points and had a career-high nine assists.

Manhattan made six 3-pointers in the first half and led 42-24 at the intermission. Monmouth was held to 7-of-24 shooting (29.2 percent).

Justin Robinson led Monmouth (12-11, 8-4) with 19 points, nine coming from the line.

The teams combined for 58 fouls and each attempted 39 free throws.
