Alabama State nips Prairie View at buzzer, 73-71

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) DeMarcus Robinson made a 15-footer as time expired to lift Alabama State over Prairie View 73-71 on Monday night.

Prairie View's Karim York hit a 3-pointer with six seconds left to tie the game at 71. Alabama State's Brandon Graham missed a 3-pointer with one second left, but the ball remained with the Hornets. Officials put 0.4 seconds on the clock for Robinson's catch-and-shoot game-winner.

Robinson hit 8 of 11 shots, including four 3-pointers, to lead Alabama State (12-6, 8-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) with 26 points. Bobby Brown made three 3-pointers and had 17 points with eight rebounds, and Wendell Lewis added 15 points.

Montrael Scott paced Prairie View (6-16, 4-5) with 18 points, Tre Hagood added 17 and seven rebounds and Karim York scored 12.
