NC Central blows out Florida A&M 85-43

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Anthony McDonald scored 21 points and North Carolina Central beat winless Florida A&M 85-43 on Monday.

Florida A&M (0-22, 0-9 Mid-Eastern) owns the longest losing streak in the country. Central Arkansas (0-18) is the only other winless Division I program. There are just eight instances of winless seasons in D-I, most recently Grambling State in 2012-13 (0-27).

The Rattlers actually led early, but McDonald's 3-pointer tied it at seven and started a 14-4 run.

NC Central never looked back.

Kevin Crawford II's layup with 38 seconds left in the first half gave the Eagles a 42-20 halftime lead.

McDonald hit five 3-pointers as NCCU (17-6, 9-0) shot 54 percent and was 10 of 17 beyond the arc. Dante Holmes scored 14 points, Nimrod Hilliard had 12 points and 10 assists while Jordan Parks and Karamo Jawara had 10 points apiece. Parks added 13 boards.

Jermaine Ruttley had 19 points for the Rattlers.
