Lehigh wallops Army 103-74, best winning score in 20 years

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) Miles Simelton scored a career-high 18 points with three 3-pointers and Tim Kempton added 17 as Lehigh hit nearly 56 percent from the field and clobbered Army 103-74 Wednesday night.

The winning score was Lehigh's highest in a regulation win since 1994. Three other players hit double figures for the Mountain Hawks (12-10, 6-5 Patriot League) with Austin Price and Jesse Chuku scoring 14 each and Corey Schaefer adding 10.

Lehigh surged away from Army (14-8, 5-6) to lead by 25 when Price nailed a 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer making the score 61-36 - a point shy of tying the Stabler Arena record for points in a half.

Tanner Plomb led Army with 22 points including six 3-pointers. Kyle Wilson added 13 and Scott Mammel 11.

Simelton also made a career-high six assists for Lehigh with Kahron Ross leading the way with 11. Lehigh also had a 41-30 rebounding edge.
