Kansas State suspends 2 players for violation of team rules

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) Kansas State has suspended leading scorer Marcus Foster and reserve forward Malek Harris for violating team rules.

Coach Bruce Weber made the announcement before Wednesday night's game at Texas Tech. Weber did not provide any further details in the release from the school, but he says he hopes the players ''will learn from this experience and make the necessary progress to rejoin our team.''

Foster averages 14 points per game. The sophomore guard also leads the Wildcats with 54 3-pointers.

Harris, a freshman, averages 2.2 points in 13.6 minutes per game.

Meanwhile, Justin Jamison has been dismissed from the Texas Tech squad for violation of team rules, coach Tubby Smith said later Wednesday.

Jamison appeared in nine games this season, averaging 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds.
