Mount Saint Mary's beats Central Connecticut State 63-46

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) Chris Martin hit four 3-pointers and scored 16 points to help Mount Saint Mary's beat Central Connecticut State for the fifth-consecutive time, 63-46 on Saturday.

Junior Robinson, the shortest player in Division I this season at 5-5, added 13 points for Mount Saint Mary's (11-12, 7-5 Northeast Conference) and Byron Ashe scored 11.

A 15-0 run to open the second half gave the Mountaineers a 47-32 lead with 10:45 to play. CCSU (3-22, 1-11), which has lost 15 of its last 16, trailed by double digits the rest of the way.

The Blue Devils shot a season-low 28.6 percent (16 of 56) and hit just 3 of 12 from behind the arc. Their 14 second-half points, on 5-of-24 (20.8 percent) shooting, were the fewest in a half this season.

Mount Saint Mary's made 11 of 22 3-point shots.

Faronte Drakeford led CCSU with 15 points and nine rebounds.
