Fresno State starting quarterback Brian Burrellwill not return to the team for his senior season, the school announced on Friday.

Over 14 games last season, Burrell completed 252 of his 432 pass attempts for 22 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.

Burrell is on track to graduate in the spring.

His decision leaves the Bulldogs with two returning scholarship quarterbacks, sophomore Zack Greenlee and redshirt freshman Kilton Anderson.

In addition, Florida State signed three-star quarterback Chason Virgil in its 2015 recruiting class.

The Bulldogs went 6-8 last season.
