Bradley rallies in 2nd half; beats Evansville 56-53

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) Tramique Sutherland scored 18 points as Bradley came back from a 17-point deficit to beat Evansville 56-53 on Saturday.

Bradley went on a 24-3 run early in the second half, eight coming from Nate Wells, to take its first lead of the game at 44-40 with 9:50 left in the game. Evansville was held to four field goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half.

Omari Grier had 11 points for Bradley (8-17, 3-9 Missouri Valley Conference).

Sutherland broke a tie at 50-all with a basket with 41 seconds left. Ka'Darryl Bell and Sutherland made 4 of 4 from the free throw line in the final 11 seconds before D.J. Balentine hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Balentine hit five 3s and led Evansville (16-8, 6-6) with 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting.

Evansville scored the first 12 points of the game and led 30-16 at the break.
