UC Santa Barbara stuns Hawaii with 13-point comeback, 75-74

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) Michael Bryson gave UC Santa Barbara its first lead with 1:34 left, and Gabe Vincent's jumper in the final minute preserved UC Santa Barbara's 13-point comeback for a 75-74 win over Hawaii on Saturday night.

Bryson's 3-pointer put the Gauchos up 73-70 and capped a 13-0 run that included four 3-pointers. Michael Thomas made two free throws to pull Hawaii within one at 1:08.

Vincent's jumper with 42 seconds left pushed the lead back to three and proved to be the game-winner.

Hawaii's Isaac Fleming grabbed an offensive rebound in the final seconds, dribbled out to the left corner and sank a jumper over three Gauchos defenders that was originally ruled a 3-pointer with one second left.

UCSB missed a three-quarter court heave at the buzzer and the game appeared to be going to overtime, but officials reviewed Fleming's shot and overturned the 3-point ruling, determining his right foot was on the line.

Bryson finished with 21 points to lead Santa Barbara, which had its largest deficit at 65-52 with 8:35 left.

Garrett Nevels had 16 points to lead the Rainbow Warriors.
