Jackson leads Tennessee Tech over Jacksonville State 72-59

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Charles Jackson scored 17 points and grabbed 10 of his 16 rebounds off the offensive glass as Tennessee Tech beat Jacksonville State 72-59 on Saturday.

Tennessee Tech (11-13, 3-8 Ohio Valley) had its largest lead at 58-38 and led by no less than 12 in the second half. The Golden Eagles pushed ahead with a 12-2 run early in the first half on their way to a 38-22 halftime lead.

DeOndre Haynes scored 12 points, Dwan Caldwell 11 and Torrance Rowe had 10. Haynes and Caldwell also grabbed seven rebounds apiece for TTU, which outrebounded the Gamecocks 48-29.

Darion Rackley had 25 points and Malcolm Drumwright added 17 for Jacksonville State (9-17, 2-9). Rackley was 12 of 15 from the foul line, but the Gamecocks were just 17 of 47 from the field and 2 of 12 from 3-point range.
