Parks leads NC Central to 58-44 win over NC A&T

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Jordan Parks had 12 points and 16 rebounds as North Carolina Central ran past North Carolina A&T 58-44 on Saturday to remain undefeated in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play.

Nimrod Hilliard, who had 10 points in the first half, made 6 of 7 from the floor for 14 points. Karamo Jawara also had 14 points and added eight rebounds. Anthony McDonald chipped in 13 for North Carolina Central (18-6, 10-0).

The Eagles were up 30-26 at the break and had a 10-0 run to take a 40-28 lead with 15:13 left to play. NC A&T's Anthony McDonald nailed a 3-pointer to close to 46-38 but the Eagles responded to lead 54-40 with 2:36 remaining.

NC Central made 21 of 46 (45.7 percent) from the floor, while limiting the Aggies to 13-of-42 shooting.

Ahmad Abdullah made 5 of 10 field goal attempts for 12 points to lead NC A&T (6-19, 3-7).
