Oregon starter Bell suspended for a game

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) Oregon forward Jordan Bell was suspended for the Ducks' game against Washington State on Sunday after he was cited for harassment earlier in the week.

According to a statement released by Oregon, Bell was cited after he interfered with a university officer placing a parking citation on his vehicle. Coach Dana Altman suspended Bell for the one game against the Cougars.

The 6-foot-9 freshman is averaging 5.7 points, seven rebounds and 3.1 blocked shots. He has started 11 games this season.

Bell issued a statement apologizing for his actions. He also said he had apologized personally to the parking officer.
