Five-star DE CeCe Jefferson signs NLI to Florida

Five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Florida Gators, head coach Jim McElwain announced on Monday.
Jefferson announced his commitment to Florida during Wednesday's National Signing Day but delayed sending his NLI. His father said the delay stemmed from Florida defensive line coach Terrell Williams leaving for the same position with the Miami Dolphins. Florida hired Texas defensive line coach Chris Rumph to replace Williams last week.
Amid the delay, Jefferson said he planned to send his NLI to Florida "soon."
After McElwain's tweet, the school officially welcomed him to the program.

Jefferson is one of seven recruits who committed to Florida on National Signing Day.
McElwain was hired in December to replace Will Muschamp after the Gators finished 7-5.
