Alabama running back Tyren Jones has been suspended indefinitely "conduct not to the standard of the Alabama football program," the school announced Tuesday

Jones had 36 carries for 233 yards and two touchdowns as a redshirt freshman in 2014. He was suspended for a week in October but did not miss a game.

Alabama used a two-running back system last season, with Derrick Henry and T.J. Yeldon splitting carries. Yeldon declared for the NFL draft but Henry will return next season.

Rising senior Kenyan Drake also returns after suffering a season-ending injury early in the 2014 season. Rising junior running back Altee Tenpenny announced in January that he would transfer. Alabama also added two freshman running backs.
