Bowling Green stifles Western Michigan, 65-49

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) Spencer Parker scored 19 points, including a career-high five 3-pointers, off the bench to help lead Bowling Green to a 65-49 victory over Western Michigan on Tuesday.

Anthony Henderson added 15 points for the Falcons (16-6, 8-3 Mid-American Conference), who have won four of their last five overall and four straight over Western Michigan.

Bowling Green stifled the Broncos defensively, holding them to 34 percent shooting from the field including 4 of 20 from downtown. The Falcons are 11-1 this season when holding opponents below 40 percent from the field and they lead the MAC in scoring defense at 59.7 points per game.

Bowling Green led 34-22 at halftime, helped out by a 19-5 run late in the period, capped off by a Henderson dunk and a Parker 3.

Thomas Wilder led Western Michigan (14-10, 5-6) with 16 points.
