Jones hits 2 late 3-pointers to help Richmond beat Fordham

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) ShawnDre' Jones scored all of 18 points in the second half, including a pair of late 3-pointers, and Terry Allen hit two free throws with four seconds left to help Richmond beat Fordham 73-71 on Wednesday night.

Kendall Anthony scored 19 and Allen finished with 17 for Richmond (13-11, 6-5 Atlantic-10).

T.J. Cline made two free throws before Jones scored seven-straight Richmond points during a 9-2 run that made it 70-65 with 22 seconds remaining.

Eric Paschall hit a 3 nine seconds later to pull Fordham (6-16, 1-10) within two and, after Allen hit 1 of 2 from the stripe, Mandell Thomas made a pair of free throws to make it 71-70 with five seconds to go.

Allen hit two free throws a second later and, after Antwoine Anderson made the first of two free throws, Thomas grabbed the offensive rebounds but missed potential tying jumper as time expired.

Paschall led Fordham with 24 points.
