NC State freshman Abdul Malik-Abu posted a tribute to two of the victim's of the Tuesday's shooting at the University of North Carolina.

North Carolina student Deah Shaddy Barakat, his wife Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha and her sister Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, a sophomore at NC State, were shot and killed by 46-year-old Craig Steven Hicks.

Abu, a devout Muslim, was friends with Barakat and Abu-Salha. He said Barakat was a major reason why he chose to attend NC State.

"He was one of the people you meet that make an impact on your life right away, with his happiness, his joy, his support for me before I got to State, when I got to State always excited to see me," Abu said. "He was always ready to spread good and positive vibes."
