South Dakota edges Omaha 74-73 on Robertson's tip-in

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Eric Robertson's tip-in with eight seconds left gave South Dakota a 74-73 victory over Omaha on Thursday night.

Brandon Bos' jumper with 58 seconds left brought South Dakota within one, 73-72. Tre'Shawn Thurman, who had scored Omaha's four previous points to give the Mavericks the lead, missed a jumper. The Coyotes got the rebound, missed two shots then got the winner on Robertson's tip.

The Coyotes had a last chance but CJ Carter missed and Mike Rostampour couldn't tip in the rebound.

The game was tied when Omaha (8-16, 2-10 Summit) went on an 11-0 run to lead 61-50 with nine minutes left. South Dakota rallied and led 70-69 with two minutes to go.

Tyler Larson scored 20 points and Sekou Harris 12 for South Dakota (12-14, 6-6).

Rostampour had career-high tying 24 points and 15 rebounds for his fifth double-double this season. Thurman added 12 points.
