Montana State outlasts Northern Colorado, 90-87

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) Michael Dison scored 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting and added seven rebounds to help lead Montana State to a 90-87 victory over Northern Colorado on Thursday night, snapping a five-game losing streak.

Leading 75-72 with 3:32 left, Montana State scored seven straight, highlighted by a Marcus Colbert 3-pointer and a Danny Robison layup, to stretch its lead to 10 and effectively end any hope for a Northern Colorado comeback. Cameron Michael hit a 3 at the buzzer for the Bears to cut the final deficit to three.

Stephan Holm finished with 18 points and Colbert added 13 for the Bobcats (5-19, 2-10 Big Sky), who shot 51 percent and held a 45-25 advantage in bench points.

Michael led Northern Colorado (12-11, 7-5) with 24 points. Dominique Lee added 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Montana State had lost five of its previous six games in Greeley.
