NEW YORK (AP) A.J. English and Schadrac Casimir scored 22 points apiece and David Laury made two free throws with 7.5 seconds to play as Iona held off rival Manhattan 70-67 Friday night.

English broke a tie with a 3-pointer with 32 seconds left but Emmy Andujar made two free throws after he was fouled on a putback attempt to make it a one-point game. Laury was fouled before the inbounds pass and hit the clutch free throws.

Manhattan called a timeout at 4.9 seconds but Zane Waterman's long, contest 3 from the left wing wasn't close.

The Gaels (20-6, 13-2 Metro Atlantic) shot 61.1 percent from 3-point range (11-18) and 52.2 percent overall to win their seventh straight and maintain a two game lead in the league. English hit 6 of 9 3s and Casimir 4 of 6.

Andujar had 17 points and Ashton Pankey 16 for the Jaspers (12-12, 9-6).
