TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) Kris Brewer made 1 of 2 free throws with 2.1 seconds left and then Kent State knocked two inbound passes away as the Golden Flashes escaped with a 76-75 overtime win over Toledo on Friday night.

J.D. Weatherspoon tied the game with a pair of free throws with 31 seconds left in overtime and Kent State was going for a final shot but Brewer was fouled, sinking the game-winner despite finishing 3 of 8 from the foul line.

Brewer led the Golden Flashes (17-8, 8-4 Mid-American) with 21 points, Derek Jackson had 20 and Devareaux Manley had 17.

Three players had double-doubles for the Rockets (16-9, 8-4). Justin Drummond (17 and 10), Weatherspoon (16-10) and Nathan Boothe (15-14).

Manley made 1 of 2 free throws with 5.3 seconds left in regulation but Stuckey Mosley took an inbounds pass and went coast-to-coast for a layup that tied the game and was fouled with 0.6 seconds to play. However, the freshman missed the free throw off the back iron.
