Holmes helps Bowling Green past Ball State 79-65

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) Richaun Holmes finished with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Bowling Green to a 79-65 win over Ball State on Saturday.

Zack Denny scored 18 points and had six assists, going 4 of 6 from 3-point range, and Anthony Henderson had 11 points for Bowling Green (17-6, 9-3 Mid-American).

Francis Kiapway had 16 points, which included four 3-pointers, Zavier Turner had 12 points and eight assists and Bo Calhoun and Franko House added 11 points apiece for Ball State (7-16, 2-10). The Cardinals shot 53.5 percent from the field and made half of their 3-point attempts but had 16 turnovers opposite of Bowling Green's five.

Up 14 points midway through the second half, Bowling Green went on a 10-2 run that included five straight from Holmes to push the lead to 24.
