ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) BJ Taylor's layup with 2.8 seconds left lifted CentralFlorida to a 56-54 victory over Houston Sunday.

The win was the Knights second last-second win over Houston this season. Brandon Goodwin sent that game into overtime by hitting a 30-foot 3-pointer with two seconds left in regulation, then knocked down a second long 3 with 1.1 seconds left in overtime for a 79-78 win.

This time it was Taylor with the heroics, driving down the right side of the key before banking in a contested layup for the lead.

Houston got the ball across midcourt before the buzzer, but a long 3-point attempt sailed wide.

Staphon Blair and Goodwin each scored 14 points to lead UCF (11-13, 4-9 American), with Kasey Wilson adding 13 points.

Devonta Pollard scored 14 points to lead Houston (9-15, 1-11), with LeRon Barnes adding 12 points and Danrad Knowles eight rebounds.
