North Carolina Central beats Florida A&M 73-48

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Anthony McDonald and Jordan Parks combined to score 32 of their 36 points in the first half, helping North Carolina Central breeze to its 30th consecutive win in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play, 73-48 over Florida A&M on Monday night.

North Carolina Central (20-6, 12-0) has now won at least 20 games in each of the last three seasons.

McDonald, who made 6 of 7 field goals - including 4 of 5 from 3-point range - finished with 20 points for the Eagles. Parks added 16 points and eight rebounds, Nimrod Hilliard had 13 points and six assists while Karamo Jawara and Dante Holmes added 10 points apiece.

Jermaine Ruttley scored 17 and Jorge Rosa added 16, including four 3-pointers, for Florida A&M (1-24, 1-11), which made just 16 of 51 (31.4 percent) field goals and was outrebounded 43-26.

NCCU took a 43-24 lead into halftime and led by as many as 30 in the second.
