Stephen F. Austin bounces back to beat Incarnate Word 90-76

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Thomas Walkup made 10 of 13 field goal attempts and 7 of 7 free throws to total 28 points as Stephen F. Austin bounced back from its first conference loss of the year to beat Incarnate Word 90-76 on Monday night.

Stephen F. Austin (21-4, 11-1 Southland Conference) had its 19-game win streak snapped when it lost to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 71-63 on Saturday.

Ty Charles had 19 points and nine rebounds while Jacob Parker added 13 and eight. Tanner Clayton and Clide Geffrard scored 11 apiece for SFA.

The Lumberjacks led 41-30 at the break.

Incarnate Word closed to 46-41 early in the second and trailed 81-72 with 4:07 left. The Lumberjacks outscored UIW 9-4 down the stretch.

Denzel Livingston led Incarnate Word (15-7, 7-5) with 30 points - his sixth game this season with 30 or more - and 11 rebounds. He made 17 of 19 free throws, both career highs.
