Seton Hall's Sterling Gibbs ejected for striking Villanova's Ryan Arcidiacono

Seton Hall's Sterling Gibbs was ejected for punching Villanova's Ryan Arcidiacono during the Pirates' 80-54 loss on Monday night.
In the second half of the game, Gibbs was called for a flagrant foul for this elbow to Arcidiacono's head while fighting for a loose ball:

After the game, Gibbs apologized for his elbow to Arcidiacono's face.
From the Asbury Park Press:
"I want to apologize to Ryan Arcidiacono. That's not who I am. I made a real bad mistake. I was caught up in the moment---I was caught up in the heat of the battle. He made a real good play and my temper just got the best of me. I really want to say sorry. It's really weighing on my mind a lot."
Asked what happened with Gibbs' elbow, Arcidiacono replied, "I'm not really sure. All I know is I was going for a loose ball . . . I thought it could have been one of my teammates going for the ball. Not a big deal."
Gibbs also tweeted an apology:

Gibbs played 33 minutes for the Pirates, and had 12 points and three rebounds. Arcidiacono had 10 points and three rebounds for Villanova.
Seton Hall has now lost five games in a row, and eight of its last nine.
