Northeastern rolls past William & Mary 75-64

BOSTON (AP) David Walker scored 21 points and dished seven assists to help Northeastern beat William & Mary 75-64 on Wednesday night.

The Huskies bounced back after having lost to UNC Wilmington, 66-61 on Saturday night, and are tied with William & Mary and James Madison for second place in the CAA, a half game back of Wilmington (15-10, 10-4).

Northeastern (18-10, 10-5 Colonial Athletic Association) led 37-28 at the break, opened the second half on a 14-9 surge, and led by double digits the rest of the way. Walker hit four 3-pointers and finished 6 of 9 from the floor. Zach Stahl scored 15 points, T.J. Williams had 14 and Quincy Ford chipped in 11 for Northeastern, which shot 59 percent from the floor and 53 percent from long range.

Terry Tarpey and Marcus Thornton had 17 points apiece, and Omar Prewitt added 12 to lead William & Mary (16-10, 10-5).
