Montana cruises to 88-77 win over Idaho State

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) Martin Breunig scored 22 points on 10-for-14 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Montana to an 88-77 win over Idaho State on Thursday night.

Brandon Gfeller contributed 18 points and Jordan Gregory added 16 points as Montana (15-10, 11-3 Big Sky) shot 59.2 percent, including 12 of 24 from beyond the arc, to extend its win streak to four. Mario Dunn had 11 points and Michael Weisner had 10.

The Grizzlies opened with a 13-2 run fueled by three of Gfeller's five 3-pointers and never trailed in the game, taking a 44-30 advantage into the break.

Idaho State (6-20, 3-11) cut the gap to 56-51 midway through the second with Nnamdi Ezenwa's layup but Montana scored 10 of the next 12 to push the margin back into double figures.

Chris Hansen led the Bengals with 20 points, Geno Luzcando added 18, Ben Wilson 14 and Jeffrey Solarin 13.
