ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) A woman's lawsuit accuses the University of New Mexico of giving short shrift to her report of being raped by two football players and another man.

The lawsuit filed Thursday in federal court seeks unspecified damages.

The lawsuit accused university officials of violating federal anti-discrimination regulations, interfering with the police investigation and showing more concern for the athletic program than investigating her report of being drugged and raped.

The university released a statement saying officials hadn't seen the woman's suit but take allegations of sexual violence seriously.

The Associated Press is not naming the woman to avoid identifying an alleged victim of sexual assault.

Citing lack of evidence, the district attorney last summer dropped charges against football players SaQwan Edwards and Crusoe Gongbay and community college student Ryan Ruff. They denied wrongdoing.
