Duke freshman center Jahlil Okafor has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Clemson, the Blue Devils announced.

Okafor rolled his left ankle after a shot attempt during the first half of Duke’s 92-90 overtime win over North Carolina on Wednesday.

Okafor finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals and ended up playing 41 minutes, including the entire second half and overtime.

"We'll see if he's going to be ready for Saturday. We can't practice (Thursday) anyway, but we'll get him some rest.” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski had said after the game. “I would think he's going to play, but we don't know that."

Okafor is a player of the year candidate and could be the top pick the 2015 NBA draft if he foregoes his final three seasons of eligibility.

He is averaging 17.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game for the fourth-ranked Blue Devils (23-3), which have won six games in a row.
