Georgia Tech has suspended junior guard Chris Bolden six games for an unspecified violation of the school’s student-athlete conduct policy, the team announced on Thursday.

Bolden was held out of the Yellow Jackets' 63-52 win over Clemson on Monday night, meaning his suspension will extend through the team’s four remaining regular season games and Georgia Tech’s first game of the ACC tournament.

Bolden was previously suspended for the first three games of last season as well.

Head coach Brian Gregory said after Monday’s win that Bolden had not met the "high expectations” the team has for student-athletes.

Bolden has appeared in each of the team’s 25 games this season, starting 11 of them. He has averaged 6.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game on 41 percent shooting from the field and is the team’s fourth-leading scorer.

In three seasons with the Yellow Jackets, Bolden has averaged 6.5 points and 2.1 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game.

Georgia Tech, currently 12-14 overall and 3-11 in the ACC, plays No. 15 North Carolina (18-8, 8-5) on the road on Saturday.
