Cline, Jones help Richmond hold off George Washington 56-48

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) T.J. Cline scored 16 points and ShawnDre' Jones added 14 to help Richmond beat George Washington 56-48 on Saturday.

Cline made four of Richmond's six 3-pointers and Jones scored six points in the final three minutes.

Terry Allen had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Richmond (15-12, 8-6 Atlantic 10). Allen and Cline had four steals apiece as the Spiders totaled 11, leading to 14 George Washington turnovers.

Richmond led by as many as 11 points in the second half after Kendall Anthony's 3-pointer with 12:57 left.

Kethan Savage led George Washington (17-10, 7-7) with 18 points and Kevin Larsen added 16. The Colonials have dropped four in a row and six of their last seven.

Savage's basket with 2:23 left got George Washington within 50-46, but the Colonials wouldn't hit another field goal and Richmond made 4 of 4 free throws in the final minute.
