Jacksonville State beats Tennessee State, 55-50

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) D.J. Felder scored 15 points to help Jacksonville State beat Tennessee State 55-50 on Saturday.

After a Demontez Loman jumper put Tennessee State up 48-47 with 3:53 to play, Jacksonville State scored eight of the next 10 points to close out the game. Jamal Hunter had offensive rebound put-back during the streak and three different Gamecocks' players combined for six consecutive made free throws. Jay Harris hit the only field goal for Tennessee State in the final 3:53.

Hunter had 13 points and eight boards for Jacksonville State (12-17, 5-9 Ohio Valley Conference), which won its third straight despite shooting just 34.7 percent from the field including 3 of 17 from distance.

Loman scored 11 points and had eight boards for the Tigers (5-23, 2-11), who have lost 16 straight road games.
