VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) Alec Peters scored 17 points on 7-for-14 shooting and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Valparaiso to a 55-48 win over Wright State on Saturday night.

Darien Walker added 14 points for Valparaiso (25-4, 12-2 Horizon League), which outrebounded the Raiders, who made just 1 of 14 from 3-point range, 37-25 to win its seventh straight.

The Crusaders, in sole possession of first place in the conference, took the lead for good during a 14-0 run that included 3-pointers from Walker and Keith Carter and made it 43-32 with 10:59 left.

Wright State (11-17, 3-11) twice cut the gap to four late in the second half, including Crishawn Hopkins' layup that made it 46-42 with 5:54 left. But Peters drained a 3-pointer to spark a 9-0 run and protect the Valparaiso lead.

Hopkins and Grant Benzinger led the Raiders with 11 points apiece. Michael Karena added 10.
