DETROIT (AP) Anton Wilson hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:51 left, and Juwan Howard Jr. made three free throws with one second to play to help Detroit beat Valparaiso 63-60 on Wednesday night, snapping the Crusaders' seven-game win streak.

Brandan Kearney scored 14 for Detroit (14-17, 7-9 Horizon) while Jaleel Hogan added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Valparaiso (25-5, 12-3), which would have clinched the Horizon League title outright with a win, led 58-55 with 3:49 to play.

Kearney hit a jumper to pull Detroit within one and, after Tevonn Walker missed a jumper on the other end, Wilson's 3 put the Titans up 60-58 with 1:51 left.

Darien Walker's putback of a missed 3 by Alec Peters tied the game 26 seconds later and neither team would score until Howard's free throws sealed it for Detroit.

Walker led Valpo with 21 points. Peters added 13 and 11 rebounds.
