LORETTO, Pa. (AP) Earl Brown scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half and St. Francis Pennsylvania held on to defeat Mount St. Mary's 63-60 on Thursday night.

Will Miller's 3-pointer with seven seconds left pulled Mount St. Mary's within 61-60 but a second later Greg Brown made two free throws for the Red Flash. Then St. Francis fouled Junior Robinson with two seconds remaining before he could attempt a 3-pointer. He missed the front end of the one-and-one but Earl Brown grabbed the rebound and saved the win, even though he missed two free throws with a second to play.

Greg Brown had 11 points, all in the second half, for the Red Flash (15-13, 9-8 Northwest Conference), who will have a winning record in the regular season for the first time in 10 years. They outscored the Mountaineers by nine at the foul line.

Byron Ashe had 15 points for Mount St. Mary's (14-14, 10-7).
