BOSTON (AP) Malcolm Miller scored a career-high 30 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead Holy Cross to a 77-70 victory over Boston University on Saturday.

Robert Champion added 16 points for Holy Cross (13-15, 8-10 Patriot League), which opens the first round of the Patriot League tournament by hosting Loyola (MD) on Tuesday.

Holy Cross was outshot by the Terriers 54.5 percent to 48.1. However the Crusaders hit six more 3's and attempted 10 more field goals than Boston U, due in part to a 17-7 turnover advantage. Holy Cross currently ranks 18th overall in the country in turnover margin (plus-3.2)

After leading 31-29 at the half, Holy Cross opened up a nine-point cushion early in the second half thanks to a 10-3 spurt. The Terriers (13-16, 9-9) trimmed the lead to four with 9:13 left but got no closer.

Cedric Hankerson led five Terriers in double figures with 17 points.
