Williams leads balanced Lipscomb past Kennesaw State 94-75

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Josh Williams scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures and Lipscomb rolled to a 94-75 win over Kennesaw State on Saturday.

J.C. Hampton, Nathan Moran and Martin Smith each scored 12 and Chad Lang had 11 for the Bisons (13-16, 7-7), who will play Northern Kentucky when the Atlantic Sun tournament tips off Tuesday. It is the first time this season five players scored in double figures. Denny Talbott had 11 rebounds to go with his six points as Lipscomb had a 53-33 rebounding advantage, including 18-8 on the offensive end.

Yonel Brown led Kennesaw State (10-21, 4-20), which will play at South Carolina Upstate on Tuesday, with 22 points. Nigel Pruitt added 17 and Damien Wilson 15.

With the game tied at 23, Lipscomb hit 3-pointers on three consecutive possessions, two by Brett Wishon, to take the lead for good. A late 11-0 run helped the Bisons to a 47-32 lead at the half.
