North Carolina A&T beats Florida A&M 77-65

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Bruce Beckford scored 19 on 7-of-12 shooting, and Denzel Keyes added 12 points as North Carolina A&T won two in a row for just the second time this season by beating Florida A&M 77-65 on Saturday night.

Beckford, who now has 1,016 career points, became just the 29th player in program history to crack the 1,000-point plateau.

Ahmad Abdullah added 10 points and two steals for North Carolina A&T (8-21, 5-9 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

The Aggies, who came into the game averaging 58.1 points per game and shooting 39.2 percent from the field, made 28 of 60 (46.7 percent) field goals, including a season-high tying nine 3-pointers on 24 attempts.

Jermaine Ruttley made 11 of 12 free throws and led Florida A&M (1-27, 1-14) with 28 points. Quentin Bastian added 13.
