Arkansas-Pine Bluff beats Jackson State, 64-62

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) Marcel Mosley hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points to lead Arkansas-Pine Bluff to a 64-62 win over Jackson State on Monday night.

Ghiavonni Robinson and Thaddeus Handley Jr. added 11 points apiece, and Tevin Hammond had nine points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals for UAPB (11-20, 8-9 Southwestern).

The Golden Lions led 39-30 at halftime and held off Jackson State (10-19, 8-8) to win their second game in a row.

Janarius Middleton led Jackson State with 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Kaven Bernard added 15, five rebounds and five assists, while Yettra Specks had nine points and eight rebounds.

The Tigers hold a half-game lead over UAPB for the No. 4 seed in the SWAC tournament. Jackson State will host Alabama A&M on Thursday and Alabama State on Saturday to close the regular season. The Golden Lions wrap up conference play at Mississippi Valley State.
