Virginia guard Justin Anderson out Saturday against Louisville
Virginia guard Justin Anderson will miss Saturday's game against Louisville after undergoing an appendectomy, the school announced.
Anderson's status had already been in doubt, as he continued his recovery from a fractured finger suffered against Louisville on Feb. 7. He had missed the past seven games with the injury.
Saturday had been pegged as a potential return date for the junior guard, who started all 22 games prior to his injury, averaging 13.4 points and 4.3 rebounds. He has converted 48.4 percent of his three-point attempts.
Second-ranked Virginia (28-1) already clinched the ACC regular-season title entering Saturday's season finale. Anderson's availability for next week's conference tournament is still unknown.
